Center Day Camp
Special Events

We offer several special events through-out the summer. Whether it is going on a scavenger hunt for gold during Pirate Day, hitting the target and watching your favorite counselor get soaked in the dunk tank at carnival, rooting for the Blue and White in color games, or making s'mores on your group's overnight, campers will enjoy a break in our regular routine and be part of the CDC spirit. All special events are located on our calendar.

Trips
Calling All Quest Campers! If you are heading into 8th or 9th grades then you will want to hear about our new and improved quest program. In addition to enjoying the terrific activities at CDC, you will experience adventures in Maine and New Hampshire. Can't make it the whole summer? Check out these dates and sign up for some amazing trips:

ADVENTURE TRIPS for QUEST
(8th and 9th graders) Limit of 12 campers per week. Each week CDC offers a new outdoor adventure for our Quest campers. Every Tuesday through Thursday Quest campers will venture on activities including everything from hiking the White Mts. to sailing the high seas. Each trip provides an opportunity for campers to experience a new area of Maine and Hew Hampshire, while developing a skill they never tried before. Transportation, food, entrance fees, and accommodations are all covered under the price of trip. A detailed packing list will be provided to families in June. Campers will be at camp on Mondays and Fridays, and Tuesday-Thursday offer each of the following trips:

NEW HAMPSHIRE ADVENTURE - Week 1 (6/26-6/28); $150
An opportunity to experience the amazing beauty that is New Hampshire. Campers will hike the White Mountains, explore the caves of Lost River, and enjoy the beautiful waterfall of Diana's Bath. Spend your evenings enjoying a campfire and sımores while getting a good nightıs sleep in CDC tent at campsite in Jackson, NH. Campers will need hiking boots and sleeping bags for this trip.

WHITE WATER RAFTING and Beach - Week 2 (7/3-7/5); $150
Get ready for an exciting and challenging adventure. Campers will experience white water rafting down the Kennebec River with the Magic Falls Rafting Company complete with spending the night in cabin tents and songs around the campfire. We will also be relaxing on Popham beach and body surfing the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

MT. WASHINGTON - Week 3 (7/10-7/12); $175
Campers will partake in a three-day hike on the terrain of the Presidential Range of White Mts., NH. Peak Mt. Washington and experience a trip of a lifetime! We will have the unique opportunity to stay in the huts of the Appalachian Mountain Club at Lake of the Clouds and Madison.. Campers are required to have a large camping pack and hiking boots. All meals and bedding are provided at the huts.

BAR HARBOR COASTAL ADVENTURE - Week 4 (7/17-7/19); $150
Enjoy a whale watch, bike riding in Acadia National Park, eating yummy pop-overs overlooking Jordan Pond, and seeing the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain.

SEADOGS AND SEBAGO FUN - Week 5 (7/20-7/22); $25
Stay close to home and enjoy a night out in Portland with your best camp friends. We will camp out at CDC and enjoy hot dogs and pretzels at the Sea Dogs Game.

SCHOONER AND BEACH - Week 6 (8/2-8/4); $125
Sail the high seas on an early 20th century wooden schooner. This windjammer adventure takes place in Portland Harbor through the pristine waters of Casco Bay. Enjoy the botanical gardens in Boothbay and a trip to Reid State Park. Campers stay in a cabin or tent at a campsite near Boothbay.

CLUB ENJOY - Week 7 (8/5-8/10); $550
One-week overnight camp experience! CDC campers will travel to Cedar Lake Camp in Milford, PA where we will stay in modern cabins with showers, toilets and sinks. Enjoy campfires, evening activities, and cook-outs. In addition campers will be able to enjoy tons of activities such as climbing wall, ropes course, water-ski, jet-ski, rocketry, sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing, woodshop, zip-line, skateboarding, fencing, filmmaking, art, canoeing, cooking, archery and more.

SACO RIVER CANOE TRIP - Week 8 (8/14-8/16); $100
Who knew that a river so close to home could be so amazing! Enjoy a two-day canoe ride; checking out the best of New Englandıs Wildlife while cooling off in the calm waters of the Saco. You will be sleeping along the river-bank at campsites along the Saco River.
